Let's give a warm welcome to our new board member William Malcolm!

William Malcolm is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience in behavioral health. He was bornand raised in Charleston. He joined the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office in August 2022 to work with individuals with behavioral health issues who have criminal justice involvement.

He has been an advocate for improving how law enforcement supports individuals experiencing mental health challenges, emphasizing de‑escalation, empathy‑driven responses, and connection to community resources.

William works closely with partners throughout the Lowcountry to expand awareness, promote education, and ensure that individuals and families across Charleston County can access timely, compassionate support.

His mission-centered approach reflects a belief that mental health is essential to community well‑being and that collaboration is key to meaningful change.

Excited to have him on board!
