A salute and free lunch for veterans-  Jim Barnett Park, Wi******er

Join us as we honor all who served during a ceremony on Thursday, November 6, at the Korean War Memorial in Jim Barnett Park. A free luncheon will be held in the Social Hall at the Park Rec Center to celebrate our local veterans following the ceremony.

This is a wonderful opportunity for education for anyone interested in reestablishing a local amputee support group. I hosted one for many years through RPI, in conjunction with a Wi******er Medical Center therapist. It unfortunately dissolved as we tried to transition the group leadership over to the members.

I would love to form a group that is not just for amputees, but for anyone experiencing any type of health transition requiring bracing.

The opportunity below is an awesome one for amputee education and support.

Joan Cetaro, CP and Ethan Cestaro, CP volunteered at Camp No Limits (Maryland). Kids with limb loss and limb difference & their families gather at a camp where no one stares or asks questions about their differences. Campers make friends and interact with children who look just like them! The camp offers peer mentors who are adults with limb difference offering the younger campers invaluable advice and support. The camp has specific support groups and events for siblings and for parents. It is truly a family camp offering support, advocacy and a focus on each specific family member.

RPI is very excited to welcome our newest practitioner, Mr. Ethan Cestaro, CP.

Mr. Cestaro received his Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Tech and obtained his Master's Degree from Northwestern University Prosthetic and Orthotic Center which is part of the Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his 2 year residency in South Carolina and obtained his Prosthetic Certification in 2025.

What we do...

We are dedicated to restoring function and quality of life to people affected by injury, amputation, or biomechanical deficiency by providing high quality prosthetic (artificial limb) and orthopedic braces. We encourage our patients to live independent, active lives so that physical challenges do not limit life’s opportunities. We provide creative solutions through the design, fabrication, and delivery of appliances and professional services. Our practitioners receive on-going, extensive education. We pride ourselves with utilizing current knowledge, practices, and technology and offering these advancements to our patients.

RPI has a full service laboratory on-site where the majority of our devices are fabricated or constructed. This allows for shorter turn-around times of the appliances we fabricate and the ability to modify or adjust devices while you wait.

RPI has an entire team of ABC certified practitioners. Unique or difficult cases are discussed within a professional group to develop the best approach and treatment plan. All clinical staff and all three of our patient care facilities are certified by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics. To achieve and maintain this accreditation our locations must meet the highest standards in our profession.
