Lighthouse of SWFL Our mission empowers people of all ages living with a visual impairment or blindness to remain independent, active and productive in our society.

Full service non profit vision rehabiliation center that serves all of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties. Over 50 rehabilitation and support programs are offered at NO charge. Highly trained, certified and degreed staff are on board to assist with all vision rehabilitation needs.

In our Cooking & Kitchen Safety classes, we don’t just learn life skills… we share, we laugh, we encourage independence, and we enjoy being together. 🍳✨
Last month, our clients practiced safe meal prep techniques and confidence in the kitchen and as a sweet surprise, everyone went home with their own One-Pot Meal Maker! 🎁
Because learning can also feel joyful and empowering.

Of course we were there, celebrating White Cane Day with our clients and the Lee County Library System! 🤍✨
This day reminds us of the importance of independence, mobility, and community support for individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
Did you know?
In the United States, the White Cane Law protects the rights of people who use a white cane or guide dog.
It requires drivers to stop and give the right of way to anyone using a white cane as a mobility aid.
This is not just respect, it’s the law.
We are grateful to share these spaces, learn together, and continue building a community where everyone belongs.
