Many of you know about the tradition that 🤠 Jimmy has kept alive for over 2 decades by helping families at Christmas time with a full spread of traditional Christmas dinner 🥘 groceries (plus some!) & gifts 🎁 for their children. Several years ago one of our youth volunteers was working on a 🍀 4-H community service project & wanted to expand our program! This is our 3rd year partnering with Lee Livestock 4-H Club to provide Christmas gifts for local children. Our then youth volunteer, Ruby, that started this leg of our program is now one of the adult leaders of her club & they continue to help us with the leg work part of this project! So between our JFHF Christmas families & the extras we take on, we are currently just over 100 (& counting) local children that will be taken care of for Christmas this year 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 We are so proud of our team, our supporters & our community 💚🎄❤️

This evening I did the first gift drop off for one of our “extra” families & that mom of 5 was all smiles & thank yous! Imagine her heart knowing that stressor is lifted 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Santa is working me hard this week! It’s tough being one of the Elves sometimes 🥱😂 I’m checking lists right now & this is what I see from a girl in one of our Christmas families. She is 15 & sounds like a pretty cool kid to me! This is her wish list:

•Crochet stuff
•Art supplies
•Old style tape recorder
•Hair styling tools
•Books

I love how their personalities show through sometimes in the type of gifts they are wishing for! Shopping for this girl is going to be fun ❤️💚

Sometimes, saying “thank you” just doesn’t feel like enough! Shores Bar & Grill, how can we say it enough so you will feel our gratitude?! The Rib Cook Off on Saturday was a fun filled, successful, relaxing, exciting day full of fantastic food, tons of friends & just a really great day for everyone. We know how much work it is to put an event like this together! Shout out to Mrs. Bobbi & her Lee County Junior Posse for asking if we would partner with them to bless a family for Thanksgiving this year! Of course that was a big “Yes!” from us as there are always families that can use blessings this time of year 🦃 🍁 🍂 So we turned their community service into dinner for a local family with extras to share with a few more 🤎
