I thought I would share this today. I remember being at the Bookends store in Ridgewood, New Jersey, and having a lovely conversation with a lady there. When I shared with her that I’m a medium, she asked me a question. She’d recently seen someone who reminded her so much of her grandfather or father, and it brought her a sense of surprise and wonder. I explained that sometimes our loved ones find subtle ways to show us they're still around, and it gave her comfort.
In that same spirit, I want to share a personal story of my own. One day, I was driving, deep in grief, and literally calling out my son’s name in the car. I stopped at a red light and looked up to see a young man jogging, who turned around and waved at me. For a moment, it was exactly like my son’s wave—the same gesture, the same presence. The jogger looked startled, shook his head, and continued on his run, but in that instant, I knew it was a little nudge from my son.
This phenomenon, known as overlapping, is one of the ways our loved ones can let us know they’re still with us, working through others in gentle, surprising ways. My son always had a way of making me smile with his signs, and I hope sharing this brings you comfort and a reminder that love never really leaves. Have you had signs like this you would lije to share?
