Yes, "Peri" is a big deal as we as women manage ALL THE THINGS🤪...and then don't let the real Menopause creep up because I hear that's a real beast.
But what about our Men? The first morning of our Men's Retreat they actually had questions on how they can support their ladies with Peri-Menopause and rhe changes women are going through but had NO IDEA that the changes they are going through are real and affect them and their loved ones too.
Andropause. Yes...Andropause. Middle aged men are going through their own changes, and we must be aware and support them too.
Emotional symptoms of andropause can include mood swings, irritability, and depression, along with a loss of self-confidence and motivation. Other psychological effects include difficulty concentrating, memory problems, and increased feelings of anxiety or being burnt out.
So men, take time to pay attention to your body changes, your mood and your mental health. And ladies, take time to listen to the men, our husbands, brothers, fathers, sons, uncles ect when they are expressing they are going through changes. They may not know how to truly articulate it, but it's happening.
And what happens when we add untreated trauma, a prior mental health diagnosis or a midlife crisis to this??? That a whole 'nother post y'all. 💚💚
