Its amazing to me that which as a general category includes / / , etc. are the most prevalent at an estimated cost in the US of more than $50 billion per year.
Whatās even more amazing is that tho current are hampered by and , its clear mankind has missed the mark. We know it hurts ppl badly.
imho the damage is a lot more ingrained and voracious than perceived. More on that.
But now Iām amazed that since 1878 in 's ā ā, have been observed involved in specific areas of the brain w/ a number of and . So much so that emotions are āintimately linked with organic life.ā
Letourneau hypothesized there were only 3 types of unlearned emotional responses, which he called ā ,ā ā ,ā and ā .ā But he probably disliked their āemotionalā language and he even wanted to ā[...] strip them out of all their old connotationsā and I suppose give new names to them? Why? We donāt need to relearn English to figure out science. ;)
Whatās MOST amazing to me is that the answer is staring Letourneauās face. Love. And he wants to obscure that? Thatās the answer. Its right there being studies like fear and is the counter agent to fear, love.
You should be asking urself as u prepare to negate my thesis why I consider love a counter agent to fear? Right? ;) Two reasons. One left side inspired and one right brain creative.
1. The logic suggests that the same vehicle for delivering the ās / is used for both emotions. Hold that thot as we answer #2.
2. Common sense demands we not associate fear and love as similar in respect to their / /destructive qualities. I shouldnāt need to explain that. i.e. Good feeling travel on the highway and so do bad emotions trying to car jack the good guys.
What blows my mind its so amazing is that both had the answer. Letoureau saw love and fear residing in the same endocrine stew and religion has known this from a philosophical/theological standpoint for a lot longer. I suppose if I werenāt āafraidā of being judged (lol) for including āspiritualā matters in a healthy discussion of biochemistry Iād also share with u all . One of my fav verses from the Bible.
Consider this b4 I share the ātruthā to ācureā fear disorders. Religion doesnāt have to be believed in theologically to av ail oneās self of the data packets out there for 1000ās of yrs. To humanists it is ignored out of principle but scientists w/o a militant ax to grind (Carl Sagan! UFO sell out :) ) can use the and with a lot of 'case studiesā, some and some personal to us all who can relate.
So at least treat this verse as a ancient remedy and just see if there are as often happens w/ ānaturalā an element of truth or more likely a foundation for it.
So now its time. Let me blow your minds with this bit of loveās palliative nature w/ fear from I John 4:8. According to this is Godās plan. According to secular scientists this would be manās collective experience codified in religious semantics.
"There is no fear in love; but , because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.ā I John 4:8.
Let me highlight something in case u missed it. āperfect love casts out fearā. Thatās pretty definitive and actually not that surprising no matter how religious or secular you may be. It sounds right when we hear it.
So letās be good lil scientists and my thesis (if u can). Iāll start so u can find other negations and maybe have to do an exhaustive negation set. Perhaps u can prove or disprove it from personal experience? What above all other things if u were afraid? Money? Strength? Maybe! Better flight or fight capacity like the hero in NZ who stuck a unloaded gun into the terroristās windshield scaring him)? Iād like to know Iām loved. If thatās the case I feel better. There may be circumstances that elicit fear going on but if I feel loved by someone I can endure it. Thatās just human experience as told thru me. If u have another take letās hear it in the world of thesis negation to be sure. Iām sure and hope u can be too.
There is one therapy that applies to ALL disorders whether fear is seen or not. Fear is one side of the fear/love dynamic but fear is an epinephrine overdosed cousin of rage, āLetoureauās 3rd emotion. fyi I personally divide them accordingly; fear and rage are both autonomic responses but fear or flight is directed toward self preservation while fight is directed outward toward other people/thing's destruction.
i.e.I think love will also cast out hate. They are em optional opposites and IF God IS love then He should know what works and gave us the answer.
Letās change the way we treat people people. U might be the next to endure the loveless chemicals pumped into u bcz the Drs thot simulating ālove/peace/joyā is btr or more doable? than actually treating someone . Why do we ignore the obvious? Love is staring us whether secular or religious and yet both sides omit love ( how ever would we quantify love? :) ) and some add chemicals, pep talks, etc. a mix of psychologyās talk-it-out and psychiatryās dope-āem-up mentality. Neither works as has been noted. So why donāt we try something that does?
