With the recent FDA release regarding RF microneedling, I want to clarify one important point:

The problem is not the technology.
The problem is “how” and by “whom” it’s being used.

RF microneedling is a powerful medical device. When performed by properly trained professionals who understand depth, energy settings, anatomy, and indications, it delivers excellent outcomes for skin texture, scars, fine lines, tone, and collagen induction.

When performed without full understanding of those parameters, it can lead to the very complications the FDA warned about, including volume loss, fat atrophy, pigment issues, and even scarring.

This isn’t a “ban the device” conversation
it’s a “train the provider” conversation.

Proper training, proper hands, and proper judgement are what keep patients safe.

If you’re considering RF microneedling , do your due diligence:

✔ Ask who is performing the procedure
✔ Ask about their medical training and experience
✔ Ask how they determine depth and energy levels for your skin

Things that truly scare us on Halloween (and all year):

• Touching filler after treatment
• Discount/Groupon toxins
• No SPF after lasers
