Pelvic floor prep for birth isn’t what most people think! 🙌 Great breakdown from .khoury_dpt:
💬 “When it comes to birth we need our pelvic floor to get out of the way and let our uterus do the work. Having a responsive pelvic floor is important for pushing and for pelvic balance leading to optimal baby positioning before birth!
Pelvic floor tightness can present as:
💢 pelvic pressure/heaviness/ache worse after activity or end of day
💢 pain with s*x
💢 constipation
💢 chronic low back or hip pain
^^ all which are common pelvic floor symptoms during pregnancy 🤔
Having a tool that can help with pelvic floor release work to address tightness, provide “practice pushing” feedback and address perineal massage can be super helpful which is why I love the pelvic wand by for pregnant mama’s!
‼️ Disclaimer: I ALWAYS recommend an assessment with a pelvic health therapist first to help go over instruction and proper use. This video is to inform of the benefit of addressing pelvic floor tightness before birth and how to address it at home.”

Your goals determine how far you go. Tampon comfort might be size 2. Pap smears might be 4 or 5. Partner-related goals look different for everyone. Whatever your goal is, that’s your finish line 💜
