Our Story

Dr. Susan Anderson grew up in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1989. Following graduation, she worked with Dr. Mike Gandolfi in Charleston, IL and Champaign, IL before moving back to Iowa. Anderson Chiropractic was established in North Liberty, IA on April 13, 1997. At that time, the population of our town was only 4400. Dr. Anderson also resides in North Liberty with her 3 children who are all currently attending college, 2 dogs, and 1 very big cat. North Liberty is home. It has been amazing to see all the growth and change as we have consistently provided care to North Liberty, Coralville, Iowa City and the Cedar Rapids area for over 23 Years! Dr. Anderson has spent the last 31 years learning and using various techniques and methods of care to provide our patients with a variety of treatment options. She utilizes traditional chiropractic methods such as Gonsted and Thompson Drop Method as well as a light pressure instrument called an Activator. Dr. Anderson also has 20 years experience with Soft Tissue or Manual Therapy using the Graston Technique, Trigger Point Therapy and Acupressure Points. We also provide our patients with physical therapy options such as Ultrasound Therapy and Inferential (Electrical) Muscle Stimulation. Dr. Anderson has experience working with sports injuries. In 2010, she completed 6o hours of training at the D.I.S.C. Sports and Spine Clinic in Marina Del Rey, CA . The D.I.S.C. Clinic is the official provider of care to Olympic athletes and several professional sports teams in California.

We provide care to all ages! Each patient has a customized plan of care. Dr. Anderson coordinates care with the patient to provide the most favorable result. Some of our patients come in a few times a year, and some visit us on a frequent basis. We will work with you to achieve the optimal treatment plan that fits your needs!
