Heart disease is the leading cause of death for women nationwide and across Arkansas, reinforcing the importance of awareness, early intervention, and compassionate care. In this message, Nikki Taylor and Dr. Jessica Ellis highlight how the Foundation’s mission supports women and their families—providing patient support and caregiver resources when they’re needed most. https://www.lifetouchhealth.org

On his 100th birthday, Mr. Ramsey shared his remarkable story—from growing up during the Great Depression in Arkansas to joining the U.S. Navy just days after high school. What began as a simple conversation became a powerful reminder of resilience, history, and why the LifeTouch Health Foundation exists: to honor lives, preserve stories, and ensure every person is seen, heard, and cared for. Your support helps make moments like this possible. https://www.lifetouchhealth.org/donate

Powerful words to remember on any day, but especially on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

Did you know that our LifeTouch Health logo is a sunrise – rather than a sunset as many might presume? As we mark our 34th anniversary today, this is an excellent opportunity to reflect on this symbol, which was inspired by a passage from the Gospel of Luke. The late Michael Aureli, who co-founded our organization with Dee Brazil-Dale, explained the sunrise logo in May 2008 by saying, “Arkansas Hospice is called to be a tender ray of compassion and hope shining upon those who dwell in the shadow of death.” While the logo has been refreshed a few times over the years, the image of a sunrise has remained constant.

Today, as Arkansas Hospice is becoming LifeTouch Health, this sunrise represents the LifeTouch Health Foundation and our entire continuum of care, which includes:

• Personal care providing in-home, non-medical support in Greater Little Rock, Searcy, and Hot Springs. You have known this service as First Choice Senior Care.
• Primary care for seniors, where they live. This line of care has been known as Arkansas Advanced Care.
• Palliative care to partner with doctors and specialists to provide patient-centered care at any stage of serious illness. You have known this service as Arkansas Palliative Care.
• Hospice care for patients and families when time may be limited. This line of care has been known as Arkansas Hospice.

To see how we offer trusted care, where you are, please visit https://www.lifetouchhealth.org/ or call (toll-free) 877-713-2348.

Thank you to all the employees, volunteers, and donors who continue to make our mission possible – and to all of you who have trusted us with caring for your loved ones. With your continued support, we can touch even more lives in the years ahead.

Everyone deserves to live their best life every day - even when facing serious illness. LifeTouch Health Foundation helps bring joy and meaning to patients and their families through experiences like these.

Everyone has moments they want to hold onto forever. Lisa Wilkinson dreamed of sharing laughter with her loved ones by the water—and with LifeTouch Health, she made it happen.

Lisa soaked in every moment—laughing, smiling, and savoring time with her family. She chose Jack’s Fishing Resort in Mountain View along Sylamore Creek—a place filled with meaning, where she raised her children fishing and once shared a final trip with her father before his passing. It felt only right to return there with her son, Dustin, and sister, Brenda, to make one more cherished memory.

The day ended with a meal at JoJo’s Catfish Wharf, enjoying her favorite foods. This was more than a fishing trip; it was a gift of joy, dignity, and love—and a reminder of the power of meaningful moments that touch lives.

Your loved ones deserve those shared memories too. Learn more today about how LifeTouch Health touches lives of Arkansans with life-limiting illness and their families.

Do you have a special moment with a loved one you would like to share? Please comment in the post.
