Did you know that LifeTouch Health cares for hundreds of our fellow Arkansans? These people are your neighbors, friends and family members – and ours, too. Most of these folks are cared for in their homes, on their terms.

As Arkansas Hospice is becoming LifeTouch Health, we are the same team and same nonprofit organization – offering more services and impacting more lives in more ways. We now provide a continuum of care:

• Personal care providing in-home, non-medical support in Central Arkansas. You have known this service as First Choice Senior Care.
• Primary care for seniors, where they live. This line of care has been known as Arkansas Advanced Care.
• Palliative care to partner with doctors and specialists to provide patient-centered care at any stage of serious illness. You have known this service as Arkansas Palliative Care.
• Hospice care for patients and families when time may be limited. This line of care has been known as Arkansas Hospice.

As we mark November being National Care at Home Month (a new recognition born last year out of National Hospice and Palliative Care Month and National Home Care and Hospice Month) and National Family Caregivers Month, we invite you to learn how LifeTouch Health offers trusted care, where you are, by visiting our website or by calling (toll-free) 877-713-2348.

Of course, November is also an opportunity for gratitude. Thank you for your continued support, as Arkansas Hospice becomes LifeTouch Health. It means the world to us and to our patients and families.

THROWBACK THURSDAY: It’s said that a smile can be contagious, and that’s certainly the case for Grace Nowak, an Arkansas Hospice patient who was interviewed in late 2018 about her experience as a World War II army nurse. In this photo, Grace had just received a special veterans certificate and pin from David “Doc” Kenser as part of Arkansas Hospice’s Committed to Veterans program. To watch a video of their conversation, please visit https://www.facebook.com/ArkansasHospice/videos/2248555515427881.

As Arkansas Hospice is becoming LifeTouch Health, we remain committed to giving veterans like Grace the best care possible. As we approach Veterans Day next week on Tuesday, Nov. 11, please take time to thank the veterans in your life for their service to our country.

TIMELY REMINDER: Remember to set your clocks back one hour before going to bed tonight and to change those smoke detector batteries, too, if you haven’t done so recently. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
