WE β€οΈ a BLANKET DRIVE and hereβs WHY:
Intergenerational programs bring people of all ages together in meaningful ways, creating moments that brighten lives, strengthen communities, and remind us how much we all have to offer one another.
During the holiday season, many older adults experience feelings of loneliness or isolation, especially those who may live far from family or have lost loved ones. These feelings can take a toll on both emotional and physical health, but simple acts of connection can make a world of difference.
Thatβs why Hippos and Fish is taking part in this special effort.
Our kids will be

writing cards
β
creating drawings
β
and helping wrap and deliver blankets
to local nursing home residents.
These small gestures not only spread warmth and kindness, but also teach our children empathy, gratitude, and the joy of giving back while working on therapy goals like social skills, fine motor skills, problem solving, and communication.β€οΈπβ€οΈ
