Weekend Forecast!!! (11/28/25)

“It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me.” This weekend may provide a gracious (if embarrassing) reckoning for you, forcing you to be present with the consequences of your own choices. The bad news is, the jig is basically up - you can’t continue in the same direction you’ve been going, certainly not on the autopilot to which you’ve become accustomed. The good news is, you’ve been subconsciously preparing for this moment your whole life - certainly for this whole year. While you may still carry shame and doubt about longstanding inadequacies, the potential exists to shatter your previous baseline and begin carefully, deliberately building a new life on a new Ground of Being.

Seven of Swords is traditionally associated with shame, secrecy and sneaking around… the things we try to hide from ourselves, in a dark corner of our minds. My interpretation of this card has evolved to include the breakthrough moment - when you see, acknowledge, take inventory, and vow to extend additional consciousness to the debacle that’s been going on. This is a good thing!!! Truth hurts, but ultimately, lying hurts more. Avoiding the painful reality, or your sense of learned helplessness to deal with it, won’t make it go away. Facing it, even by furiously blushing degrees, will ease the terror and ultimately bring your power back.

Queen of Swords reinforces your right and responsibility to be an adult, grow a backbone, and come to grips with the more sobering aspects of your situation. Look, nobody’s perfect around here, so stop letting your closet grandiosity prevent you from taking humbling steps like admitting you have no fu***ng idea what you’re doing and asking for help. Discretion is key here - you won’t get extra points for loudly embarrassing yourself on the Internet in front of God and everybody. This Queen reveals as little as possible, as succinctly as possible, in order to make the power moves and powerful alliances that will secure her empire for another day. So keep it cool.

Strength affirms the quiet yet persistent call of your soul in all its glory, urging you towards that bold horizon. Your Lower Self is coming back online, and reconnecting with your Better Nature, providing palpable OOMPH to thrust you out of static paralysis and into dynamic alignment. The blue light on the lion’s face suggests that even your animal self is capable of restraint and forethought, so don’t underestimate your instincts. Much like the woman’s face hovers steadily over the lion’s, know that your angelic nature performs best when staunchly supported by your liberated libido.

This weekend promises character-building challenge, but assures that you have the foundational tenacity to meet said challenge. Steel your nerves - this is not the time for agonized emotionalism, but for careful, strategic worldbuilding. Your next moves are crucial to the long-term evolution of your story and your life. Be mindful, be sharp, be strong… be the villian if necessary.

We Can Trust Ourselves

For many of us, the issue is not whether we can trust another person again; it’s whether we can trust our own judgment again.

“The last mistake I made almost cost me my sanity,” said one recovering woman who married a s*x addict. “I can’t afford to make another mistake like that.”

Many of us have trusted people who went on to deceive, abuse, manipulate, or otherwise exploit us because we trusted them. We may have found these people charming, kind, decent. There may have been a small voice that said, “No—something’s wrong.” Or we may have been comfortable with trusting that person and shocked when we found our instincts were wrong.

The issue may then reverberate through our life for years. Our trust in others may have been shaken, but our trust in ourselves may have been shattered worse.

How could something feel so right, flow so good, and be such a total mistake? We may wonder. How can I ever trust my selection process again, when it showed itself to be so faulty?

We may never have the answers. I believe I needed to make certain “mistakes” to learn critical lessons I’m not certain I would have otherwise learned. We cannot let our past interfere with our ability to trust ourselves. We cannot afford to function with fear.

If we are always making the wrong decision in business or in love, we may need to learn why we insist on defeating ourselves.

But most of us do improve. We learn. We grow from our mistakes. Slowly, in increments, our relationships improve. Our business choices improve. Our decisions about how to handle situations with friends or children improve. We benefit from our mistakes. We benefit from our past. And if we have made mistakes, we needed to make them in order to learn along the way.

Today, I will let go of my fears about trusting myself because I have made mistakes in the past. I understand that these fears only serve to impair my judgment today. I will give my past, even my mistakes, validity by accepting and being grateful for it all. I will strive to see what I’ve gained from my mistakes. I will try to look at all my good decisions too. I will keep a watchful eye for improvement, for overall progress, in my life.

Weekend Forecast!!! (11/21/25)

Chop chop!! As life continues to subtly fall to pieces, your instinct for compensation kicks in and revs its engines. Feeling the unknown lurking on your doorstep, your sense of urgency to “get it right” increases to a brisk pace. You may find yourself juggling coping mechanisms like a m**o, or busily writing a new narrative on the walls of your reality tunnel… and yet, none of it really plugs the gaping maw of the mystery. What will save you?

4 of Pentacles Rx deftly illustrates the tenacious balance between holding steady and letting go. Most versions of this card show the protagonist clinging to their precious pentacles like the soul clings to the body. Instead, here, the kitten juggles her treasures playfully, constantly releasing them into the flow of life. It takes a lot of trust to cooperate with the Universe in such a fashion - and this trust can be a hard time coming.

This reversal may force you to let go of the shattered fragments of your life and identity, while giving you no guarantee they’ll ever come back the same. Whatever reference points you’ve employed to define your life up until now, this week sees them floating downstream, abandoning you to your own devices. The show must go on - but with no illusion of safety or predictability.

2 of Swords shows your mental meaning-making mechanism kicking into high gear. The present gift of chaos gives you the dazzling opportunity for direct experience of life. However, you’re so used to living in your head with blinders on that you may not know who you are without your story. “As a man thinketh, so is he.” While this card is traditionally associated with denial or “peace at any price”, this version features a fragmentation motif - cutting your life, or your consciousness, into manageable pieces via convenient compartmentalization. 9 of Swords happens when the story fails to shelter us from the storm, and we cower before the terror of the abyss. Surrender may feel like dying - but also may be the only viable option. Face your fears, and jump into the void! Otherwise you run perhaps the even greater risk of spending your whole life cowering.

Although this is traditionally seen as a punishing, sorrowful card, it also represents the end of a cycle. Perhaps you are tired of performing in the dog-and-pony show, and aching to experience something real. Perhaps you have realized your life is a lie, and demand to know the truth. Perhaps you’re tired of being controlled by avoidance, suddenly impatient to just confront the damned boogeyman already and get it over with. Jump in the deep end, baby!! You’re already suffering - might as well do it intentionally.

Shamanic Journey Circle: The Fall

What goes up must come down - whether that’s the season, our success, our lives, the civilization, or the heavens. In our society we love to focus on the positive, and aspire to continual growth and ascent.

Yet, acknowledging the reality that all things must eventually perish and pass away is crucial. Acknowledging the “dark” or “fallen” side of the celestial order is also crucial - and can help anchor our power, influence and wisdom (for the limited time that it lasts).

In this circle, we will honor the fallen and the inevitability of The Fall - past, present, future, and timeless.

Please Note: This is a sober event, open to all skill and experience levels. Please bring a pen and notebook to record your journeys, as well as any crystals, pillows, blankets, or other comfort items which will make your journey complete. Yoga mats will be provided.
