New data may reshape cUTI treatment options.

GSK and Spero Therapeutics has resubmitted its NDA for tebipenem HBr, an investigational oral carbapenem antibiotic for complicated urinary tract infections. Phase 3 data presented at IDWeek showed efficacy comparable to IV imipenem-cilastatin.
