๐พLooking to stay active, have fun, and meet others in the Parkinsonโs community? Join one of these indoor Pickleball Clinics, open to people with Parkinsonโs and their care partners โ no experience necessary!
Two weekly locations:
๐ Newport Pickleball Club, Middletown
Mondays | 11:00 AM โ 1:00 PM
๐ Centre Court Tennis Club, East Providence
Mondays | 12:30 PM โ 2:30 PM
They provide the paddles and balls โ just bring stable style court or walking shoes (not running shoes), water, and your best energy. Come move, laugh, and connect with others who get it. ๐
How the program began: After losing her brother-in-law to Parkinsonโs nearly a year ago, Patty Winderman has found a beautiful way to honor his memory โ by helping others with PD stay active, social, and empowered through PD Pickleball Clinics. Alongside volunteers like John Cabral, and Nancy Tache, the players are in great hands to learn the sport!
One participant, Jim Blais, who was diagnosed earlier this year, show us what resilience looks like... at 72, Jim says heโs more active now than ever โ taking PD boxing classes TuesdayโFriday and joining the pickleball clinic every Monday. His spirit is a powerful reminder that movement, connection, and hope truly matter. ๐ชโจ
