Freeze dried chili!

I made a very large batch of chili with beans, tomatoes, ground beef and turkey, seasoning and chilis and it is amazing. I poured it onto the 5 trays and freeze dried it all. A day and a half later I had 2 extra large mason jars filled with dried chili for us to eat in the near future and put the rest in mylar bags to be stored for up to 25 years! We got 4 large bags!

Rehydrating this is super easy, I added some chunks of the dry chili into a pot and kept adding water until it was the consistency I wanted and heated it up! It was amazing! It's so nice to have this handy for days cooking is not in the cards. πŸ™Œ

I know what's in my food and that is important!

Tomorrow, our Walk for Peace continues in Maryland for one final Peace Gathering before we begin our journey home to Fort Worth, Texas. After 110 days and 2,300 miles across ten states, we will gather one last time on the East Coast at the Maryland State Capitol to celebrate peace together. Then, we turn homewardβ€”carrying with us every blessing, every smile, every moment of love we have received along this journey.

πŸ“Œ Itinerary for Day 110:
- 9:00 AM: Walk to Maryland State Capitol begins from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium
* 550 Taylor Ave, Annapolis, MD 21401
* Starting Point: Gate 6 on Taylor Ave

- 10:00 AM: Peace Gathering at the steps of the Maryland State Capitol
*100 State Cir, Annapolis, MD 21401

- 12:30 PM: Departure by bus for Fort Worth, TX

- Night Stop: Legacy Church, 2150 W Ridge Rd, Wytheville, VA 24382
(Note: No visitation due to late arrival, but we will have a Peace Gathering at this location at 7:00 AM on Day 111 - 2/13/2026)

We are deeply grateful to everyone who has walked with us, welcomed us, and believed in this mission. Thank you to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, Maryland State Capitol, and Legacy Church for their generous hospitality and support.

It's science and you cannot dispute that.

You feel it when you walk into a room, when you get close to certain people, when you are in meditation, when you are giving and receiving Reiki, when you hold crystals, when you are outside by your favorite tree or at home with your pet, you can feel it walking through a cemetery.

Maybe it's just woo woo, maybe it's just quantum physics. πŸ˜‰

Hey ! I want to let you know there is going to be a slight pause in my Tuesday evening classes at Northside Nutrition on Smith St. There are some changes happening to the locations so last night was my last class for a short time. I will keep you updated but plan on no classes for at least the next two Tuesdays. Yup, we are in the line of this winter storm heading our way tomorrow here in RI. It is in the single digits at night and only about 12* during the day. Needless to say...it is COLD!

Sometimes when its cold, it is easy to not get on your mat and practice. This is especially true when you go to a class outside the home.

Do not let the cold stop you! While the snow is falling and the roads are bad, stay home but get on your mat, move your body and your breath and sit in quiet meditation for a bit.

My class will be there for you Tuesday evening NorthSide Nutrition LLC. at 6:30 pm. Let me or Northside know if you will be there so we can save your spot!

We will be working with inversions on Tuesday night! Being "upside down" has its benefits for sure, like moving lymph, increased blood flow, improvement of balance and increased core strength.

On top of all that, inversions are fun to practice, build confidence, and help you see things from a different point of view. πŸ˜‰

I will have my inversion stool with me and after class you will have the chance to try it out and have some fun! I will be there, along with the wall, for support and guidance!

If you are looking to make some changes in your life, start here and start small! Here are some ideas to help you get started, regardless of where you are. πŸ™Œ

~ learn more about time restricted eating and give it a shot!

~ find a healthy alternative to one of your "guilty pleasures"

~ remove soda from your diet altogether, especially diet soda

~write down your thoughts every day, regardless of what they are

~ start your day with a savory meal, like soup, instead of something sweet
