Nursing is grounded in care, compassion, and professionalism. Yet too many nurses experience workplace behaviors that undermine safety and dignity, from incivility and exclusion to bullying, intimidation, threats, and physical violence.

The Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation® “Stand Up for Safety” 10-Day Challenge is designed to help nurses recognize workplace violence in all its forms and better understand how culture, systems, and leadership shape safety. Each day offers one focused, practical action rooted in real nursing experiences that support awareness, reflection, and shared accountability.

Change doesn’t happen all at once, or alone. Through shared learning and small, intentional steps, we can strengthen prevention, response, and reporting, and stand up for safety together. The "Stand Up for Safety” challenge begins April 6.
