Every single donation to the Creative Healing Fund feels sacred to me. We receive each one with so much joy because we know it will turn into real creative lifelines for people who are struggling.
Today I want to mark a very special moment: our first ever physical donation to the Creative Healing Fund. Our friend Tracy Webberley Watson sent a 10‑pound box of craft supplies, and with that one box alone we can create well over 10 Creative Healing boxes for people who need a little spark of hope.
I also want to honor a gift that came before the fund was even fully formed. At one point, my friend Mimi Roderick sent me a huge box as a gift, full of gorgeous trims and beautiful junk journaling supplies.
I told her back then that I would share what she sent in my boxes, because she knows I love to share everything I receive, and she has always given to me so generously. I’m using those treasures now to tuck into Creative Healing Fund boxes, and I am sure neither one of us imagined that her gift would end up reaching so many more people and bringing joy far beyond what we thought at the time.
So today’s thank you is for both of them: for Tracy’s first official physical donation to the Creative Healing Fund, and for Mimi’s gift that has become part of this mission.
I’m grateful not only for the supplies themselves, but for Mimi’s personal support as a friend, walking with me from the days when this felt like a “too crazy” idea to now, when the vision has already come to life.
As applications keep coming in, it may not always be possible to recognize every single person by name on the website. But I need to pause and honor this moment, because these boxes represent something bigger than supplies. They represent people believing in the Creative Healing Fund, in what it can grow into, and in the healing it will bring to individuals and communities.
