Everybody should be educated on foot mobility and strength but let's just talk to athletes.... I get so many clients at the pro level that tell me no one has ever really educated them on the importance of healthy feet!

They say why did it take this long for someone to work on this with me, cleats, shoes, spikes are all narrow and so it has you trying to function on a a tight rope instead of having good healthy feet and then going into the bad shoes.... most just know about mobility but there are plenty of ways to strengthen your feet also....

Hips and feet also go hand and hand if your hips are tight you can't plant the foot properly and if the foot is weak it can handle the bad planting so what gets compromised knees and Achilles!!!

For years I have struggled with using tools during my sessions, I had the mindset of people pay me to use my hands and 85% of my session is Be Activated and manual massage but sometimes the body needs a little more help!

So I am easily "influenced" and an ad popped up on IG for and I was intrigued, to me it was your own way of what I have always been interested in of doing graston or scraping..... but this is actually really gentle my clients are like I feel like you are coloring on me when I use it! lol

It is great for jaw work, hands and feet but I do use it at the joints also!

We also talked about how words matter and how words/actions/stress all can impact how we play and perform and all of that helps with injury prevention! I wish them all the luck on their season!

I can not express enough how important breathing is, not just for athletes but for EVERYONE!

For my athletes who I preach breathing with, I promise you if you control what you can control in the moment, things will change! The one thing you can control isn't the crowd, isn't your teammates, not your opponent, you can control you and your breath!
