This morning Chaplain Kent & Tony tried their luck at TimeSlips, which is a fun twist on traditional storytelling! Contrary to normal story time, TimeSlips focuses on a single image and allows for the community members to make-up and image their own version of a story based on that image. Today's image was of two young ladies having a picnic in a park. Here is our story from today:
"Two relatives that haven't spoken for months got together. Jane (white shirt) and Carol (black shirt) decided to sit on the ground at the park. They were eating brownie pizza and drinking red wine. While they were eating, they were catching up and talking about their family. They were in the middle of planning a get together for the whole family, about 100 people, to get together at Como Park!
They planned to take pictures as a family at the park, check out all of the animals at the zoo and see the flowers at the conservatory. They also wanted to go down the waterslide and play ball in the field. All the kids in the family went to the playground and slid down the slide. Every kid that went down the slide let out a big "Whooosh-Wee!" For their pizza party they planned to have potato salad, pizza, Pepsi and some freshly squeezed lemonade. For dessert, chocolate and strawberry flavored ice cream! They could not wait until their family get together in a few weeks."
The End
