It’s time to recognize a powerful truth! The Bible is not our book! It has been colonized, reshaped by those who sought to impose their narratives on us. This text, filled with stories of suffering and oppression, does not reflect our true spiritual guide. We must reclaim our understanding of spirituality, which is inherently connected to the divine within us and the natural world around us.
I wish at black churches, they would focus on preaching from the heart, drawing on our rich spiritual heritage and ancestral wisdom, rather than relying solely on the King James Version, which has undergone over 30 revisions and often reflects oppressive narratives instead of the true essence of our faith and experience.
We Are Spiritual Beings! Our true power lies in recognizing that we are connected to the universe, to the divine energy that flows through all living things. This is not a narrative of the past; it is a vibrant reality that we must embrace.
Long before the colonizers imposed their beliefs, our spiritual practices celebrated the relationship between humanity, nature, and the cosmos. We understood that the divine is not distant; it is present in the beauty of the earth, the wisdom of the trees, the flow of rivers, and the cycles of the moon.
Spirituality is not evil or wrong; it is our true connection to the God within us. Embracing this truth empowers us to live authentically and harmoniously with the world. We are not separate from the divine; we are expressions of it.
It is time to embrace the spiritual truths that have been part of our identity for millennia.
Let’s awaken to the divine within and reconnect with the sacredness of nature. Embrace the gods and goddesses that resonate with your spirit, and honor the energy that flows through all living things.
Know the Book of the Dead! dating back to around 1550 BCE, served as a vital spiritual guide in ancient Egypt, offering wisdom on the afterlife and reflecting a profound understanding of existence. In contrast, the Bible, written by oppressors and containing passages that justified slavery, does not represent our true spiritual heritage. Understanding these ancient texts is crucial because they reveal the rich spiritual traditions that predate oppressive narratives, helping us reclaim our identity and connection to the divine.
Together, we can rise and celebrate our identities as spiritual beings, embracing the power that resides within us and the beauty of the world around us. Stand tall, my people! Seek your truth, connect with the divine, and unleash the transformative power that lies within you! ✊🏿✨
