MEET JENNIFER
Jennifer J. Huber, LCSW, earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014. She is certified in trauma therapy and has extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through trauma, addiction, identity exploration, grief, relationship concerns, and life transitions.
Jennifer’s background includes adoption-related trauma, infertility, multicultural and transracial families, family systems work, and LGBTQ+ identity development. Her approach is relational, creative, and grounded in evidence-based practices.
She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strength-based strategies, Motivational Interviewing, and experiential, arts-based techniques to help clients explore emotions and create meaningful change. Known for her out-of-the-box style, Jennifer tailors her methods to each client’s personality, needs, and goals.
In addition to her clinical work, Jennifer has taught community programs designed to help families strengthen communication, navigate identity-related concerns, and better support their LGBTQ+ loved ones. Her earlier career includes work in domestic violence services, youth advocacy, community education, and leadership roles in residential and transitional youth programs—including farm-based therapeutic environments.
Jennifer is committed to creating a space where every person feels seen, supported, and valued. Her balanced and compassionate approach allows her to work effectively with a broad spectrum of clients while offering specialized support when needed.
ABOUT THE PRACTICE
My practice is rooted in a client-centered, relational approach that meets each person exactly where they are. I support clients facing a wide array of concerns, including:
Depression and anxiety
Trauma and PTSD
Grief and loss
Relationship challenges
Family conflict and communication issues
Adoption-related trauma
Infertility and family-building struggles
Major life transitions and identity exploration
I also provide specialized services in LGBTQ+ and gender-affirming care. Many individuals and families seek support when a person comes out or begins exploring their gender identity. I help them navigate their own emotional experience—such as grief, confusion, fear, or uncertainty—while building acceptance, understanding, and open communication.
This specialized work is integrated into a broader, balanced practice that welcomes clients of all identities and backgrounds.
I offer individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and therapeutic groups, with both in-person and virtual sessions available during weekday and evening hours.
Although my office is located inside a church building, the practice itself is not faith-based or affiliated with the church. Clients of all or no faith traditions are welcome here.
