The “B” Word - and I don’t mean the curse word.

If you’ve ever heard the term “BRACE” when referring to your core, this one’s for you.

Bracing is often misunderstood as sucking in, bearing down, or just… nothing.

At my last workshop, we broke down what it means to PROPERLY brace - the 360 degree expansion of our trunk in order to build pressure.

Why’s the B Word important?

Load distribution.

If one area of the chain is chronically weak, it’s not surprising that the link breaks there.

But, if we can find a way to distribute and shift around the force we’re making while doing things like lifting weights, picking up kids, and carrying in the groceries, we’ve got another successful tool for how to move.
