AwenTree Spring News: Unfortunately, due to my falling on black ice and breaking my leg 2 weeks ago, there is temporary pause on IN-PERSON services.

That means, I am unable to provide Reiki & Energy healing sessions until I am off crutches and able to stand on both legs - about the end of April.

Tarot Readings will be VIRTUAL only (via zoom) for now until I can safely navigate traveling to and from AwenTree on my own.

The April RITUAL is still happening on April 1st because Anthony will take the lead on facilitating it. Our magickal focus will be working with the Archetypal energy of the Fool. (And I have rides to and from the AwenTree).

During this time where I am dealing with another medical pause from being able to work at full. capacity, your support in the form of virtual tarot readings is greatly appreciated if you are interested in booking.

Rest and repair are essential to healing. Sometimes we forget that healing is an unfolding, cyclical process. One that we are always working on, slowing peeling back nuanced layers over time and through consistent application of supportive, healing practices. 

While there certainly are moments of spontaneous healing, more often healing is about playing the “long game” and keeping your eye on the horizon of your wellness goals while you navigate day-to-day actions. 

Considering your healing work as a longer strategy isn’t meant to be discouraging or make you feel overwhelmed. It is shared compassionately, to empower realistic expectations that fuels determination, perseverance and resiliency. 

Just like the seasons, healing is a process that ebbs and flows.

RITUAL invites us to attune to our present moment, step into the sacred and engage with Magick held therein.

RITUAL invites you to move into stillness, to listen and connect with the Unseen World that is right here in every moment.

From the simplest of rituals to the more complex, it all centers in the same mindfulness of embodying the sacred.

Each month at AwenTree we custom craft RITUAL that is in direct relationship and responsiveness to the intersection of the Liminal and Real World moment.

Our RITUALS are created by Winifred Costello, HPS, and co-facilitated with her long time Witch kin, Anthony Gladu.

Our evening is a co-creative one where participants are directly involved in the ritual. All levels of experience are welcome.

The Monthly Rituals are IN-PERSON only at this time and open to the public. They are held on the first Wed of the month.

Hello Magickal Lovelies, A few folks reached out asking about the March Ritual - and YES, the ritual is this coming Wed. March 4th, 7-9 pm. This is an In-Person Ritual. Cost is $15.

We will be doing Underworld Working with Plant, Animal and Mineral Spirit contacts.

All the details are up on the AwenTree website and posted in in the event calendar.

The Monthly Rituals are typically always on the First Wed. of the Month unless we announce otherwise.

These sacred ceremonies are for like-minded mystical folk who desire to come together (in-person) in facilitated, safe space to explore and embody their magick. Co-facilitated by Winifred Costello, Initiated High Priestess in the Temple of Witchcraft Tradition, and Anthony Gladu.

Each month features a uniquely crafted ritual, centered on a different magickal intention and focus. The emphasis of our magickal circle encourages participation from everyone present.

While not anchored in any one specific Craft Tradition, there still is a grounding, protective, structure of a Witch’s Circle to safeguard our mutual energies. All expressions of being human and all levels of experience are welcome.

I believe our lives are NOT static, set with pre-determined outcomes.

Rather, our lives are dynamic and flowing, that we can work towards unlocking our potential with the wisdom of tarot as a guide.

As a tarot reader, my focus is on respecting and empowering my clients’ agency as dynamic, independent spirits capable of invoking free will to impact their destiny.

What draws you to Witchcraft? Many of us are called by our quest for healing, to reclaim personal power and spiritual agency.

Maybe you seek to practice a life affirming, regenerative, embodied spirituality that honors the earth as sacred.

Sometimes our blood simply awakens or responds to our ancestors' whispers.

Maybe the ever renewing cycles of sun and moon spoke to you. Touched by trees, plants, animals and a deep relationship with the earth.

Maybe your soul remembers.

What anchors you in unsettling times? When the tides of life are rough and stormy it can be easy to let go of the captain's wheel, close your eyes and pray for better weather.

Leaning into your spiritual self-care helps ground and stabilize while assisting in regulating the inner emotional and mental landscape. This eases the over activation of your nervous system and allows for a reset.   

In a sea of troubling situations, where opposing forces seek to keep us in a reactive state of constant overwhelm, dysregulation and fear, it is essential to build your tool kit of practices that support you. This includes reaching for outside resources when you are tapped out. 

In difficult times, I find it is the foundational practices that become so critical to maintain - breath work, meditation, journaling and communing with my Spirit Guides, Allies and Ancestors.  

Despite how hard it might be, I also prioritize time for rest and repair. Sometimes that is simply laying on the floor listening to soothing music or standing outside, connecting to the Earth or sharing a cup of tea with a friend.

Staying connected to what matters most to me, people and activities also are part of my plan. 

A component of my personal Resistance Magick is to see joy and hold onto the meaning held within the small moments of being alive.

I don’t do all these things everyday, but I practice all of them regularly. It soothes my spirit (and my nervous system) allowing me to regroup and get my bearings. ⁠

This in turn builds resiliency and sustainability.

There has been a lot of dialogue regarding whether or not Witchcraft is political.

For me, my Witchcraft has always been political.

Look around, modern Witches stand on the ground carved out by those who came before us. Paved by their courage, labor, tears, blood and sometimes their lives.

There are many reasons why witches met in secrecy, why folk magick practices were cleverly disguised from prying eyes and why lineages were broken or disappeared entirely.

Witches, and other marginalized communities, were and still are persecuted here and around the world.

I am able to be visible as a Witch because of privilege. Part of that is due to where I live and the time I am alive in. But others are not so fortunate.

I owe that freedom to those who walked before me.

They stood for what they believed in sometimes are great personal risk and sacrifice.

So, I will not be silent.
