Hey, I haven't posted in a while - it's been a bit of a weird summer, but one of the things I did accomplish was building a set of parallel bars in my side yard. Been using them myself for various hanging exercises, and using them with clients for all sorts of banded work. I grew up playing on "jungle gyms" or "monkey bars" without ever thinking about how great they were for building strength and agility. Enjoy!

I made up this movement game yesterday. I call it the Bear Crawl Ball Dribble.

I sent out the generic invite to "like my page" this past week and you responded, so I just wanted to say thanks! I appreciate your interest and support. In gratitude, I'd like to offer you a free movement/training session - could be in-person or virtual. We could work on a particular issue(s) you might be having - a troublesome joint, for example, - or mobility, core strengthening, balancing work, whatever you'd like. I made this video a couple days ago, with help from my son, to extend my offer and give you a tour of the studio and an idea of the kinds of movement exercises I often do with clients. If you'd like to take me up on this, seriously, give me a call or shoot me a text at (413) 695-8766. It's free, no obligation - I would just enjoy seeing and working with you, and I'm confident you'd find it helpful and engaging.

In the vein of "animal flow" movements, this is one of my favorites. I'm using an 8lb medicine ball, but you can also use a kettlebell. Great for working hip mobility and upper/lower body strength. Keep your hips as low as possible, and keep the weight close to the ground.

Here's a fairly simple setup that I use to train my balance and condition my shoulders, back and core for kayaking.
