Then and Now: The adaptive ice skating program in Brockton is the longest continually running program with DCR Universal Access Program. As we're coming up on AOA's 25th Anniversary, we've been reminiscing with our Brockton participants - from the early days through all the change that's brought us to now.

We spent the morning hiking at Mt Tom in search of the Lost Boulder on the Lost Boulder Trail. It’s not the largest boulder we’ve ever seen but we do love the trail - you’ll just have to trust us that it’s behind our group in these photos.

Help our friends at the Connecticut River Conservancy name their kayak fleet!

Are you a river enthusiast who also has a way with words? 🤔

Help name CRC's fleet of kayaks! While we're pretty sure "Boaty McBoatface" is taken, here's your opportunity to get creative with names for the fleet of foldable kayaks we use for water chestnut removal with volunteers during the field season. Submissions accepted all month long. We'll gather the best names and have a voting round in April!

You know what it's like to have a deep pull to something? For craftspeople, artists, and musicians it's the need to create. For some of us it's the need to be in the woods. One of our long time participants arrived to Wendell State Forest on Saturday feeling that pull. She told us how much she "just needs to be in the woods," and - in perhaps the most serendipitous headwear choice we've ever seen - pulled out a lion hat to wear while she went hiking.

Serendipitous because earlier that day, we had spoken with long time program participant and current Board Treasurer Brian Adams who, together with his wife Morey Phippen, have pledged to match donations received for the Plunge these first few days of March. "In Like a Lion!" we decided to call the match.

So, here's the deal: The "In Like a Lion!" match will be giving a roaring boost to our Plunge fundraising efforts. Between now and 11:59pm on March 5, Brian and Morey will match all donations to the Plunge (up to $5,000.) Every donation will be instantly doubled.
