Please note Amy is out of the office Thursday and Friday serving as a member of the exam development question writing committee at the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, NCCAOM. To create and approve questions under specific guidelines for one of the four national exams acupuncturists must pass to obtain national Certification that demonstrates competency and the ability not to harm before they are licensed to see patients in Massachusetts 47 other states.

Happy Boxing Day!
MassHealth has put off the referral requirement for Acupuncture, which would include us putting in the referring providers NPI for an unknown period of time. We will have 60 days notice before we need to incorporate that information into our claims. So for anyone who is working on a referral who has mass health or a mass health plan, you don't need to do that anymore.

With the recent increase of emotional and spiritual suffering, stress, and pain, the Wellness House is creating a healing space this Sunday from 11:00 to 2:00 to support the community at the Wellness House.

We will be offering low force adjustments by Dr. Dan Garfield, DC and battlefield acupuncture treatments from Amy Mager, DACM, L.Ac.
Our intention is to bring folks together and consciously create space for anyone experiencing suffering and trauma to have a safe and deliberate space for healing with little to no talking during this experience. This is not a space for political discourse.
Dan's work is based on "Network Spinal”- gentle, precise touches to the spine that cue the brain to create wellness promoting strategies. The nerve system is reset, and stuck energy is converted to fuel for healing- improving physical and emotional well-being.
Amy’s work is based on the profound understanding that acupuncture changes brain chemistry and takes up the same receptor sites in the brain as opioids, as well as decreasing anxiety, PTSD symptoms and pain.
Everyone will be given a consent for them to sign giving permission for care.
Voluntary donations will be accepted that will be given to charity.
Please park in the garage where the first hour is free or in one of the open lots on either side of our building that are free on Sundays. Please do not park in our tiny lot because the spaces belong to people who live in the building.
