Care Manager Stacie Beland (Auburn office) recently shared this picture from the Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage in Northampton, sharing the following about how Nonotuck inspired her wellness journey:

"This picture is of myself and my stepdaughter Hilde Axelson after completing Northampton’s Annual Hot Chocolate Run for Safe Passage. The start and finish line is just steps away from the Northampton office! Safe Passage provides a critical safety net for those experiencing domestic violence in the Northampton community. Safe Passage helps survivors access counseling, support groups, and other essential resources to support them as they navigate housing, immigration, and legal matters. Together, Hilde and I raised nearly $400 for Safe Passage, all through small, individual donations.

It’s my 2 year work anniversary with Nonotuck and our focus on wellness has helped me in surprising ways—I started by walking and counting steps along with peers at Nonotuck during step count challenges. Nonotuck made it so fun to keep going, no matter what. Slowly, I started walking my way through 5Ks. Then I started jogging. And now, this year, I plan to complete my first half-marathon. Nonotuck and I are going places!"
