Today was a deeply meaningful day for our family as we once again took part in Wreaths Across America, honoring the men and women who served our country and are remembered far beyond their time.

Jeff and Carleigh had the honor of participating at Arlington National Cemetery, walking among rows of heroes and pausing to say their names, reflect on their sacrifice, and place wreaths with gratitude and respect.

At the same time, Rachel and Isla were doing the same at Howard Street Cemetery in Northborough, honoring local veterans whose service and legacy continue to live on in our community.

Being part of this tradition reminds us that remembrance is an active choice — to teach our children why freedom matters, to speak the names of those who served, and to ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.

Forever grateful for today, for family, and for the opportunity to honor those who gave so much.

Today, Jeff took part in something truly extraordinary. As part of The Dodge Company's long-standing tradition, he participated as one of a team of funeral directors from all across the country as they laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Few experiences can compare to standing before that monument- where silence speaks louder than words and the weight of history settle deeply on your heart. The quiet, powerful significance of that moment- honoring those who sacrificed their lives and whose names are known only to history- was truly moving.

As a dedicated funeral professional, Jeff has spent his career caring for the deceased with dignity and compassion. His work is rooted in humility and a deep respect for the stories and lives entrusted to his care. Today's ceremony was a meaningful reminder of the importance of honoring every life, especially those who gave everything in service to our nation.

A woman of wide-ranging interests and far-reaching curiosity, Pat practiced an eclectic spiritualism throughout her life. From 1974 to 1978, she owned and operated The White Crow, an occult and metaphysical bookstore in Northborough.
In her free time, Pat loved working on her genealogy database, quilting, playing word games like Scrabble, and gardening. Above all, she loved her family, especially her great-granddaughters. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who helped raise multiple generations of her family. In her later years, her progressive values, sharp wit, and radically open mind never wavered.
It is with sadness we share the passing of Patricia A. Thayer, age 90, of West Boylston and Northborough, Massachusetts. Please follow this link for more of Patricia's life story and service announcements.

As the holiday season begins, our funeral home once again lights our Remembrance Tree—a gentle tribute to the loved ones we were honored to serve this past year. Each ornament represents a life, a story, and a place forever held in the hearts of those who love them.

We will be inviting the families we served this year to stop by on Friday, December 12 from 10AM to 12 noon or Saturday, December 13 from 1pm to 3pm to select an ornament to take home in honor of their loved one. We will be mailing invitations as a gentle reminder.

It is our hope that each one of you will feel the warmth of shared remembrance. May this season bring comfort, connection, and peace to all who are grieving. You are not alone.
