“The Drama Llama” helped us learn all about emotions today!

We talked about many different feelings and situations that can make us feel happy, frustrated, worried, excited, and everything in between.

We also practiced strategies and tools to help regulate our bodies and emotions when things feel overwhelming. One of the most important lessons we learned is that everyone is different — our brains and bodies may need different strategies to help us feel calm, focused, and ready to learn.

Building emotional awareness and regulation skills is such an important part of helping kids succeed in school, friendships, and everyday life! 💛

There was a lot of Chinese new year fun over here! We learned all about traditions, made lanterns, tried dumplings & fortune cookies, and played Headbands with themed vocabulary — all while targeting expressive/receptive language, social skills, turn-taking, and flexible thinking through play! •
