This incredible image was taken during the Fram2 launch exactly one year ago today!

MinXray’s Impact System, a complete Wireless System, was used aboard the Crew Dragon Resilience to capture the first medical X-ray taken of a human in space during the @[urn:li:organization:30846] Fram2 mission on March 31.

The ultra-portable feature of the Impact system addressed the limitations of a traditional system; having lower mass, volume and power requirements.

For these same reasons, MinXray’s Impact System was selected for future missions. Learn more about the Impact Wireless DR system here: https://www.minxray.com/impact-wireless

Today marks the 59th anniversary of MinXray, Inc.

59 years ago, an intuitive business man named Irv Kretchmer spotted a compact portable X-ray device and envisioned a company that could provide this new technology to the equine veterinarian.

Names for this new company were suggested by family
members on a small chalk board in the family kitchen and the name was selected.

With expert engineering, the assistance of select suppliers and business partners, and the perseverance of an incredibly capable and driven staff, MinXray quickly became the dominating provider of portable X-ray units for the veterinary market.

As MinXray explored and served additional markets — opportunities arose and technologies advanced — and MinXray evolved into an incredible powerhouse serving "mega" customers like the US military and the World Health Organization (WHO).

As we take this opportunity to celebrate the past accomplishments of MinXray, we look forward to
this new age of business and technology and wonder what lies around the corner ... or beyond the next horizon.

🚀 Pushing boundaries. Advancing access. Innovating for impact.

Starting bright and early today, our own Jacob Creswell, STBP’s Innovations & Grants Lead, joined an extraordinary mission descending 4,000 meters underground as part of a 🌍 world record attempt.

Equipped with a portable X-ray and South African-developed AI CAD technology, the team aims to screen two miners deep below the surface, showcasing innovation where it’s needed most ⛏️🩺

This groundbreaking effort brings together key partners including Dr Pakishe Aaron Motsoaledi, Minister of Health; Dr. Norbert Ndjeka, NTP; Dr. Barry Kistnasamy, Occupational Health Director, from the National Department of Health (South Africa); Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited; MinXray and Vertice MedTech

Tomorrow at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited we will attempt a world record to take a medical X-ray at the deepest point ever taken. Due to the nature of the job, miners are particularly susceptible to tuberculosis (TB), a curable airborne infectious disease that mainly impacts the lungs, and silicosis, a serious, irreversible occupational lung disease caused by inhaling crystalline silica dust over time. Chest X-ray (CXR) imaging is one of the most effective and impactful tools for lung health screening. Lucica Ditiu, ED of Stop TB Partnership said “A couple of years ago we took X-ray to the highest mountains in the world, where there are no roads and where the sherpas needed it – we did it to show we can screen anyone, anywhere and to support the Nepal community. Now, we are taking it to the depths of the earth, to the world’s deepest mine, places where we know TB thrives. Chest X-ray is the best tool we have to screen and diagnose TB and other lung and cardiovascular diseases. We want to demonstrate that it can be used literally anywhere, accessible and cheap and to show that if there is a will - we can show the way.”

MinXray is thrilled to make this attempt alongside Stop TB, the Department of Heath in South Africa, Harmony Gold, National Department of Health (South Africa) Nexus Intelligence, and the Minerals Council of South Africa 🤝 together

Across Pakistan, we are partnering with mosques, madrasas, churches, temples, and other faith-based institutions and organisations to bring tuberculosis (TB) screening and care directly into the heart of communities.

By working through faith leaders and trusted religious networks, we are reaching individuals and families who often face barriers to accessing formal health services. Screening camps and awareness sessions are being conducted in spaces where communities naturally gather—ensuring early detection, reducing stigma, and strengthening health-seeking behavior in a familiar and trusted environment.

This approach reflects a powerful model of locally led, community-driven health delivery—where national priorities are advanced through trusted institutions, and resources are used efficiently to reach those most in need. Faith-based leaders are not just partners; they are critical actors in strengthening resilient, people-centered health systems.

On World TB Day 2026, this work reinforces a simple truth: progress against TB is strongest when countries lead and communities deliver—with partners supporting sustainable, high-impact solutions.

Tomorrow is ! The theme this year reflects a shift from reaffirming global ambition to turning commitments into action, led by countries and powered by collective efforts across governments, civil society, people affected by TB, donors, youth, development banks, technical agencies, researchers, private sector, etc. By emphasizing country leadership and shared responsibility, the theme reframes the response as one that is owned, led, and financed at country level, while being powered by people and partners at all levels. Team MinXray is proud to play a part in powering national responses with innovation and private sector partnership!
