At FSC, we are SO grateful for the Woman's Club of Wilmette, who recently donated supplies for the most beautiful, cozy kid’s corner in our waiting room — in addition to snacks, fidgets, sensory toys, and more!

All these things make a BIG impact, and make our space feel more calm, engaging, and ready for meaningful work. We can’t thank them enough for making our space more welcoming to the clients and families we serve. 💙

Fun fact: FSC was actually started in the basement of the Wilmette Woman’s Club back in 1913. Over a century later, here they are, still supporting FSC’s work in tangible, practical ways. There’s something pretty special about that kind of full-circle moment. It’s a reminder of the strength of our community. ⭐

For Dr. Becca Ward (.ironmindrehab), powerlifting has always been about more than strength. As a personal trainer and physical therapist, she saw how physical strength, mental wellbeing, and community are deeply connected.

That belief, combined with conversations with an FSC clinician and a willingness to try something new, led Becca to launch Chicago Pulls for Hope — a team-based powerlifting fundraiser that raised over $30,000 in its very first year. 💪

⭐ With no fundraising experience and no prior event planning, Becca turned her passion into meaningful support for FSC families. The event returns this May over Mother’s Day weekend, welcoming participants at every level. 🎉

It was raining champions on 2.26.26 at FSC's third annual Trivia Night: 21st Century Trivia! Thanks to everyone who came out to have some fun and support mental wellness.
