✨ We’re catching up on some introductions — you may have already seen her around, but it’s time to make it official… welcome, Abby! ✨

✨ Meet Our Social Work Designee! ✨

Growing up in Chanhassen and later moving to Cannon Falls, her journey eventually led her to Faribault, where she began building a meaningful career in social services. With five years of experience in a nursing home setting, she has worn many hats—including Health Unit Coordinator, Social Services, Admissions, and Receptionist—bringing a well-rounded and compassionate approach to her work.

While she has experience in both Transitional Care Units and long-term care, her heart truly belongs to long-term care—where she can form lasting connections and make a difference in residents’ lives every day.

Her passion for social services comes from a genuine love for helping others, solving problems, and being a dependable source of support. She’s always ready to lend a helping hand and takes pride in being someone people can count on.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find her playing guitar and singing 🎶, spending quality time with her boyfriend and daughter, or relaxing with friends and family—including her big German Shepherd, Rylee Jane 🐾. She also enjoys cooking, lakeside moments with a cold drink, and listening to country music.

Join us in giving her a warm welcome! 💐

✨ We’re so excited to welcome back a familiar face — this time in a new role! ✨

Please join us in welcoming Jamie Heyda back to Three Links Care Center as our new Director of Nursing! 💙

Many of you may remember Jamie from her previous 10 years with our team, where her compassion and dedication left a lasting impact. Now she returns with even more experience and the same passion for long-term care — ready to lead, support, and inspire our nursing team.

Jamie’s journey in healthcare started at just 16 as a resource counselor in a group home. Not long after, she became a Nursing Assistant, where she discovered her deep love for caring for the geriatric population — a passion that still drives her every day.

Growing up on a dairy farm as the oldest of five, Jamie learned early on the value of hard work, responsibility, and caring for others — qualities that continue to shape her leadership style today.

Outside of work, Jamie lives near Lakeville with her husband and their four kids — Anna, Ellie, Nora, and Jake. Between sports, school activities, camping, and traveling, life is always full! At home, their dog Abby 🐾 and cat Fluff keep things extra lively.

She’s excited to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new team members, and continue our mission of exceptional resident care.

If you see Jamie around, be sure to say hello and help us give her a warm welcome back! 👋💫

✨ We’re catching up on some introductions — you may have already seen her around, but it’s time to make it official… welcome, Shawnda! ✨

Please join us in giving a warm TLCC welcome to Shawnda Mittelstaed our Assistant Director of Nursing ! 💙

Shawnda was born in Roseburg, Oregon 🌲 and raised along the Oregon coast, where she developed a lifelong love for nature and the outdoors. She later moved to San Francisco, California, where she studied Human Performance and Eastern Philosophy.

She began her healthcare journey in 2007 as a CNA at Northfield Retirement Community and became an RN in 2015. Throughout her career, she has served in multiple roles including floor nurse, RN supervisor, IPCO nurse, admissions/discharge coordinator, and Staff Coordinator, where she trained new staff and led the NATCEP/NAR certification program. She believes education is at the heart of every strong team.

Outside of work, Shawnda enjoys fishing, boating, hiking, hockey, and exploring state parks. She is the proud mom of her 14-year-old son Mason, who plays Bantam A hockey for Northfield and is working toward making the high school golf team this spring. She has a golden doodle Shelby, who loves to play at the dog park and chase the fish as she brings them into shore. 🐾

We’re thrilled to have her in this leadership role and look forward to all she brings to the team.

✨ We’re catching up on some introductions — you may have already seen her around, but it’s time to make it official… welcome, Autumn! ✨

Please join us in giving a warm TLCC welcome to Autumn Majerus, BSW, LSW, our Director of Social Services! 💙

Autumn grew up in Saint Charles before heading to Mankato to earn her degree in social work — and the rest is history! With 6 years as a licensed social worker and nearly a decade of hands-on care experience, her passion for people has always been at the heart of what she does.

Her background includes long-term care, skilled nursing, and waiver case management, but what truly sets Autumn apart is her dedication to advocacy and person-centered care. She’s committed to making sure Residents feel heard, valued, and supported — while families feel confident and cared for every step of the way.

Autumn brings strong communication, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit that helps our team thrive. Compassionate, ethical care isn’t just a goal — it’s her standard.

When she’s not at TLCC, you’ll find her spending time with her chocolate lab, Barrett 🐾 (turning 8 this year!) and her fiancé, Macklin. She also loves getting creative with crafts, puzzles, and coloring.

We’re so excited to have her energy, heart, and dedication on our team. If you see her around, be sure to say hello and help us give her a big TLCC welcome! 👋💫

Looks like the Easter Bunny was hopping a little behind—he had too much fun at our event to send photos on time 🐰📸

From egg hunts to games, cookie decorating to bunny photo stops, it was an egg-stra special day! Our residents absolutely loved spending time with the little ones, and the smiles were sweeter than any Easter treat.

What truly made the day so special was the incredible spirit of our community—so many came together to join in the fun, share laughter, and make meaningful memories across generations 💛🥚

Huge thanks to our Three Links staff for putting together such a un-bunny-lievable event—we’re so grateful for all the joy you helped create!

Can you guess which pet belongs to each of our team members? From fluffy to feathery (and maybe a few surprises), it’s time to match the pets to their people!

🔤 Hint: Some team members have more than one pet! If you see a letter repeated, that means that employee owns multiple pets.

Drop your guesses in the comments ⬇️ and let the fun begin! 🎉

Three Links met with County Human Services Leadership to discuss opportunities to improve the efficiency and outcomes of Medicaid applications and renewals. The conversation was highly productive, offering several valuable insights and establishing a strong foundation for enhanced collaboration moving forward.
We are grateful for our partnership with Rice County. With their continued support and collaboration, we are better positioned to serve our residents and families as they navigate this complex and often challenging process.

Sylvia Velishek brought the spirit of Guatemala right to Three Links with a vibrant presentation on her mission trip—and the residents couldn’t get enough! They loved hearing her stories, seeing the meaningful souvenirs, and feeling like they were traveling alongside her every step of the way. The joy of sharing the journey lit up the room!

From sunrise hikes and volcano adventures to construction service, games, Mass, and time spent with the local community, the trip was filled with faith, friendship, and unforgettable moments. Exploring Antigua, visiting the tomb of Saint Hermano Pedro, and journeying by boat to a sister parish made it an experience full of purpose and discovery.

What an incredible blend of service, culture, and connection—one that continues to inspire long after the trip ended!

If you have gone on a trip and would like to share, we are ready to learn and explore alongside you!

Residents welcomed the season in the most beautiful way last Friday, crafting their very own butterfly sun catchers—each one as bright and unique as spring itself. As sunlight streamed through the windows, their creations came to life in a kaleidoscope of color, capturing the joy, renewal, and warmth that this time of year brings. A simple craft turned into a moment of creativity, connection, and pure magic. 🦋✨🌸

Last Friday, Culinary Services knocked it out of the park with an amazing Minnesota Twins Opening Day–themed lunch!

Pictured here, Cindy Mitra is all smiles showing off the wonderful lunch that included: hot dog and hamburger sliders, crispy French fries, coleslaw, and a delicious cupcake baked by our very own Jodi Lewis. To complete the ballpark experience, root beer and Cracker Jack were served up with a cheerful call echoing through the lunchroom—just like being at the game. We are always so grateful for the care and love served with every meal. Thank you Culinary Team for a wonderful experience!

These impacts are real. Please take a moment and share your perspective.

At the Minnesota Capitol, decisions made this session will shape something many people don’t think about—
until it becomes deeply personal.

The ability to stay close.

Close to family.
Close to familiar faces.
Close to the community that still feels like home.

Across Minnesota, seniors and adults with disabilities depend on local care to remain connected to the people and places that matter most.

For many families, that reality comes quickly—
a fall, a diagnosis, a moment when everything changes.

And in that moment, nothing matters more than being able to stay close.

In many communities, especially outside the metro, that access isn’t easily replaced.

When it changes, the impact is immediate.

Families travel farther.
Visits become less frequent.
And staying connected becomes harder at the moment it matters most.

This isn’t about politics.

It’s about whether care will be there—close to home—when our families need it.

We believe that matters.
