We're hiring!
Flower Pie Speech, Language, and Reading Therapy was started in 2016 by Katharine Bedsole in Northport, AL. She wanted to have more control over when she worked and how she worked. Over the past few years, she realized that even though she had narrowed her focus to a handful of ideal clients she also needed only two specialties for herself. Katharine began to see huge gains in managing documentation as she benefitted from focusing on clients who had similar needs.
Therapists who work for Flower Pie enjoy the relief that comes with being able to focus on two specialty areas. Our clinic specializes in providing speech and language therapy services to children who are late talkers, autistic, or have a speech sound disorder. One of the benefits of this position is access to continuing education in our specialty areas as well as supporting areas, such as the science of how we learn, executive function skills, managing behavior, and connected parenting.
Our highly skilled and experienced speech-language pathologists are dedicated to using evidence-based practice to serve their families in the context of real life. We offer a wide range of services, including individual therapy, parent coaching, as well as workshops and seminars.
Speech Pathologist Job Responsibilities:
Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication.
Develop and implement effective treatment programs.

Maintain communication with staff and outside agencies per state guidelines.
Refer patients to medical specialists in dentistry, psychology, or other related fields
Maintain yearly continuing education needed for state licensure and ASHA certification promptly.
Participate in continuing education activities to enhance expertise in specialty areas.
