This Thanksgiving, as families gather around warm tables
and homes fill with gratitude,
we pause to honor the men and women
whose courage allows us to celebrate in freedom.
Our veterans—those who stood watch while we slept,
who carried burdens we will never fully understand,
and who faced dangers so the rest of us could live in peace
deserve more than just our thanks.
They deserve our respect, our remembrance,
and our promise to never take their sacrifices for granted.
Today, we are reminded that freedom was not given to us
it was protected, fought for, and earned
by the brave souls who served this nation with heart and honor.
Some returned home changed.
Some never returned at all.
But every one of them gave a piece of their life
so that ours could be lived fully.
So this Thanksgiving,
we carry them in our prayers,
we honor them in our hearts,
and we lift our gratitude to the ones
who defended what we cherish most.
To our veterans—
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering service, your tremendous sacrifice, and the remarkable strength you embody. It is because of your courageous actions that we are able to come together in harmony and experience the tranquility of peace.
