‼️Break Up Big Medicine Act‼️
Introduced by Senators Warren and Hawley

This legislation will prevent insurers and PBMs from owning pharmacies and physician practices and will break these corporations who currently decide when and where patients get care.

I am an advanced pharmacist practitioner in CA and community pharmacies, specifically independent pharmacy practices, are hanging on by thread – the unfair business practices of PBMs contributed to closures of hundreds of pharmacies in last couple of years in CA (thousands nationwide) and more continue to close every day. Pharmacists were forced to take out personal loans after being in practice for decades, go without a salary themselves to sustain their practices, and eventually were forced to close their doors.

PBMs play a significant negative role in our healthcare system, and the Break Up Big Medicine Act will address critical issues such as cost transparency, fair practices, payer-mandated practice models (also knowns as “white bagging”) and will stop the PBM industry’s consolidation and vertical integration that currently exists.

I urge all my colleagues, my physician friends and other healthcare professionals to join campaign and call their Senators and ask them to support the Break Up Big Medicine Act.

It only takes few minutes! I reached out to Senator Adam Schiff today to support this legislation as it is crucial for ensuring transparency, fairness, and better access to care for patients.

Being an entrepreneur is often associated with high financial rewards and autonomy, but it comes with extreme risk and stress. I am forever grateful for my children and family who are my source of inspiration and power to lead my team and care for our community, one patient at a time.

As we celebrate , I reflect upon the importance of my work in helping people every day with my team.

I am grateful to be your pharmacist practitioner helping you with preventing serious medication related complications and identifying and resolving problems in your care; helping you by addressing care gaps in your care and preventing unnecessary hospitalizations and emergency department visits; helping you navigate the complex healthcare system and advocating for and educating you on how to best manage your chronic conditions.

I am grateful for working alongside other amazing healthcare professionals in and outside of our practice to make every patient’s care complete.

Thank you for featuring me in your Results Magazine Fall 2025 Issue. It definitely has been an amazing career path for me as I brought two of my passions - direct patient care and innovation - into CliniCare Advanced Practice Pharmacy.

We had another great year training students from in our Summer Internship Program for High School Students.

This was the third year of our program that has been successful in helping students gain real-world experience, learn workplace skills and explore potential career paths.

Through our internship experience, high schoolers also gained the confidence to succeed in their chosen careers.

This year we had more students from who applied for the summer internship and completed the program, receiving certificates of completion.

Thank you to AGBU DHS administration, college counselor Dr. Sakash and Mr. Arick Gevorkian for guiding and encouraging students to participate in programs that prepare them for a college career where they can excel among their peers.

👩‍🎓Our Summer Internship Program for High School Students provides hands-on experience in the pharmacy practice while still in high school, with unique exposure to community-based and advanced practice pharmacy practices, clinical pharmacy practice and direct patient care while working closely with pharmacists and residents.

🧑‍🎓This is a paid summer internship program in which the high school students become familiar with the practice of pharmacy. The students develop skills to prepare them for higher education while they work alongside clinical and advanced practice pharmacists who practice evidence-based medicine. They network with USC Mann School of Pharmacy faculty and preceptors, pharmacy interns and Pharmacy Residents.

👩‍🎓While completing their required 240 hours, students learn how to work with patients in different pharmacy practice settings, providing care in-person, telephonically, and through telehealth.

The application process and interviews of applicants for summer 2026 program will start in spring of 2026.

As a clinical pharmacist, Diana Arouchanova, has been providing direct patient care services while working collaboratively with physicians and other practitioners, helping them manage patients with chronic conditions through programs established at CliniCare Pharmacy Inc - Advanced Practice Pharmacy Care Center – an integrative community-based clinical pharmacy practice established in 2005.
