Can you balance on one foot for 30+ seconds?

If you’re not doing this, you need to!

An exercise that is huge for building function, involves no equipment, can be done anywhere — and science shows it may even help you live longer… Standing on ONE leg.

Here’s why it matters:

Foot Function
When you stand on one leg, your entire body weight passes through a single foot. This forces the foot to stabilise, adapt, and strengthen over time. It’s one of the simplest ways to restore natural foot strength and resilience.

Balance
Balance isn’t just for athletes. It’s essential for safety, confidence, and everyday movement. Training it sharpens the body-brain connection, improves posture, and reduces fall risk as we age.

Development
Single-leg stance is a foundation exercise that prepares your body for more advanced movements like running, jumping, or lifting. It builds stability, mobility, and control.

Use It or Lose It
Modern life rarely challenges our balance. Smooth floors, built-up shoes, and daily routines weaken this skill. But the good news? Balance can be rebuilt at any age — with simple, consistent practice.

How to fit it in?
Do it while brushing your teeth 🪥, reading a book 📖, watching TV 📺, or even standing at the kitchen counter.
