I hear this quote ALL the time from my clients and patients! “The scale hasn’t moved in weeks!”

👶🏻Left? 5 months postpartum
💍Right? 5 weeks before my wedding
🚨Trick question! They’re the same!!
I never rely solely on weight for myself or any client whether you’re 300 lbs or 100 lbs, we will always have measurements and/or photos!
The scale is just a number. Muscle weighs more than fat. If you place a cup of muscle on a scale and a cup of fat, the fat will be much lighter than muscle. As we loose fat and gain muscle, we don’t always see changes in the scale.
📷 In my pictures, I weigh exactly the same weight! But I don’t care about the weight, my body composition is entirely different and my season of life is reflected in my body’s image.
On the left side at 5 months postpartum, you can see the inflammation in my hands & face and the abdominal fat that has served a much needed purpose in this season of life 🍼
On the right side 5 weeks before my wedding, I was focused on getting lean! You can see muscle definition throughout my body 💪🏼
