The Norwalk Public Safety Cadets would like to give thanks to all of those United States service members past and present. Your sacrifices make this nation strong and allow us to be a beacon of hope and freedom for the whole world. Congratulations to our Cadet Captain William Lopez! William has served as a Cadet for seven years. In that time he has excelled in the Post and has led as our Captain and the Chief of our NERLEEA Cadet Police Academy. William has aged out as a Cadet and is now recognized as our Post’s newest Civilian Advisor. Congratulations 🎉🎊🎈

(This was copied from the NERLEEA FB Page) It is with great sadness that I inform you that John Visone passed away today after struggling with his medical condition. John is the founder of NERLEEA and instrumental in making NERLEEA what it is today. I will forward information on arrangements as soon as I get it. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time.

On a personal note: Director Visone was a very good friend to our Norwalk Post. Three times, John visited our Post to teach Leadership Ability courses. Many of our Cadets knew John from the Cadet Police Academy. I will personally miss John's enthusiasm and great love for all things NERLEEA. Thank you, Director John Visone, for being such a guiding light to so many generations of young men and women.

Thank you to the Norwalk Fire Department! The Norwalk Public Safety Cadets had a great time catching up with one another and learning about marine unit responses first hand. It was a great night and I hope to be able to do it again soon!

The Norwalk Public Safety Cadets would like to congratulate LT. Austin Sample on his retirement from the post. LT. Sample has served for over 5 years with 4 of those years as a member of rank leading younger cadets. LT. Sample is the only cadet to attend and graduate the Mountain Bike phase at the Cadet Police Academy. He also served as a Sergeant during his time at the Cadet Police Department phase. LT. Sample will be missed and we are proud to say he is one of the best examples of what this program can do. We wish him luck on his future in law enforcement and Happy 21st Birthday.
