AOS is an independent 501©3 non-profit organization that provides art studio opportunities for adults with disabilities. Since its inception in 2004, AOS has sought to support its artists by reinforcing the voices and visions of those individuals through their art. March is Disability Awareness Month, and we're showing up loud and proud — on the court AND in the studio!

Cheer on the Huron County Bears at the Huron County Board of Developmental Disabilities Celebrity Basketball Game this week, and rep the team with this epic bear sticker designed by our very own AOS artist, Jason Runkle! 🎨

Amber recently joined AOS and travels from the Lorain County/Amherst area with residential staff support. Fascinated by butterflies, she has created beautifully detailed and delicate graphite drawings that reflect both patience and precision. Amber communicates primarily through her phone, typing short sentences when she has something important to express.

Her staff shared—with happy tears—that she has long been searching for an opportunity to showcase her love of art, and they have never seen her this happy or excited. Though she sometimes questions her talents, her work speaks volumes.
