In the Intro to Health Careers Program, junior and senior high school students work with and shadow a variety of departments in the hospital as a way to help local students develop their talent and find their passion in health care. During their 7-month rotation at Fisher-Titus, our interns were able to learn from our expert staff in departments such as the Emergency Department, Norwalk Memorial Home, Obstetrics, Billing, and more.

Towards the end of their rotation, interns were able to focus in on their top three departments where they found the most interest in to gain experience in this area. Upon completion of the program, students can take their knowledge to their future education or continue working at Fisher-Titus!

A banquet was held earlier this week, where families and loved ones gathered with our staff in celebration of the interns finishing their rotations.

Abby Hoven, Manager of Operating Room and Director of the Intro to Health Careers Program, is pictured with the interns.
