This weekend, we attended a funeral for someone in our community. As always, we were reminded of how much one person can mean to so many.

When someone we love struggles, and especially when they pass, the people who care about them are often left carrying so much. Grief, of course. But also guilt. Questions. Second-guessing. The quiet, constant replaying of moments. Wondering if there was something more we could have said. Something we could have done differently.

This is one of the most common and painful shared experiences among loved ones. And it is also one of the most isolating, because so many people carry it silently.

You do not have to carry it alone.

Our Family and Friends Group exists for this exact reason. It is a space for people who love someone struggling with substance use, or who have lost someone, to talk openly, to listen, and to be with others who truly understand. There is something powerful about being in a room where you do not have to explain the complexity of what you are feeling. People simply get it.

Talking about it does not change the past. But it can change how heavy it feels to carry.

If you are a parent, partner, sibling, child, or friend of someone who has struggled, you are welcome here.

You are not alone.

We are short-staffed today. Thank you for understanding.
