TIP #10: JETTISON OLD HABITS

We have arrived at the unique letter "J". This is an appropriate time to attend to what may be the culprit behind the scenes of injuries: OLD HABITS. When I say this, I am referring to the ways we use our bodies that may be the result of compensating for limitations. Before proper bodywork, the body must perform alterations in the normal movement patterns to "protect' what may be restricted inside: organs, blood vessels, nerves, lymph vessels, and other delicate connective tissue. These tissues get priority and if they are restricted in any way, physically or energetically, the body will change its movement patterns to avoid stress on those dis--eases. This produces compensations, which will produce stress on the musculoskeletal system. Even after you have bodywork, there needs to be a relearning process to restore normal biomechanics and a jettison of the protective movement patterns.

TIP #9: INTUITION

This is a great place and time to utilize the letter "I" and call out and call up our own sense of what is needed: INTUITION. Many times, we tend to look outward for answers, whether it be from media, to medicine, to acquaintances, etc... However, the most knowledgeable, connected and wisest being on the planet is our own mind and our intuitive powers. The key is to begin to TRUST that inner voice that tells us exactly what we need. This can be difficult when the world around us is indeed so noisy. Therefore, quiet things down, if even for a moment, and listen to the messages that are emanating from inside. This is the intuitive sense that is informing us of what we need to do and look for next.

TIP #8: HOMEOPATHIC REMEDIES

Since we are currently on this letter of the alphabet, it seems appropriate to stress this amazing form of natural medicine that was discovered back in the late 1800s. A physician at that time discovered that when you present the body with the energetic form of a substance that produces the same symptoms as the ones the body is currently dealing with - they repel each other. "Similar treats similar" is the understood philosophy of this type of "medicine". There are currently a vast number of available remedies and with the proper investigation, one can utilize a remedy that will help correct a given issue in the body. This can range from broken bones to broken constitutions. This was modern medicine in the early 1900s before Big Pharma appeared on the scene. It should be stressed that since a good deal of variability exists when selecting the right remedy, consulting a knowledgeable source is key in properly using this intervention.
