Recovery isn't just possible. For so many people, it starts with one moment, one conversation, one person who looked them in the eye and said, "Me too."

Regina Dumont was once a client at Valley Spring Recovery Center, moving through partial care and IOP as she found her footing. Today, she returns not as someone who made it out, but as someone who made it through, and chose to stay close to the work because she knows what it means to be on the other side of it.

Her story doesn't belong to the past. It belongs to everyone still finding their way forward.

Care & Connection at the ballpark.

We are heading to Yankee Stadium on Friday, May 1st for a night of networking, collaboration, and community, all under the lights of a New York Yankeess vs. Baltimore Orioles game.

Valley Spring Recovery Center will be connecting with Senior Leadership, Labor Leaders, EAP Coordinators, Public Sector Partners, and Behavioral Health professionals who share our commitment to making a difference in people's lives.

Because the work we do extends beyond the walls of treatment. It happens in every conversation, every connection, and every room we show up in.

See you out there.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can hear is someone say, “I’ve been where you are, and I made it through.”

Regina Dumont knows that feeling firsthand. As a former client at Valley Spring Recovery Center, she once stood at the crossroads so many people face today, wondering if a better life was truly within reach. Now, she’s living proof that it is.

Valley Spring Recovery Center was proud to host another Open House Tour, welcoming representatives from treatment centers, facilities, and organizations across the behavioral health and addiction recovery field.

To each of you who joined us: your participation reflects a shared commitment to improving outcomes for the individuals and families we all serve.

Cross-sector collaboration strengthens our collective ability to match people with the most appropriate level of care. We are grateful for the connections made and look forward to continuing to build a more integrated, informed, and responsive care community.

One training. One dose. One life saved.

The opioid crisis doesn’t stop at the school doors, and neither should our preparation. Brian Cellary and Patricia Osterhoudt sat down to talk about why Narcan training in schools isn’t a radical idea. It’s a necessary one.

When educators, administrators, and staff know how to recognize an overdose and respond with naloxone, they become the bridge between a crisis and a second chance. That knowledge can mean everything in the minutes that matter most.

Every school has a fire extinguisher. Every school has a defibrillator. Narcan should be no different.

Sleep is one of the most underrated parts of recovery, and it's time we talked about it.

Valley Spring Recovery Center CEO Brian Cellary sat down with Dan Larrazabal to explore why sleep health is a critical, and often overlooked, piece of the recovery puzzle. From how sleep affects mood and cravings to its role in long-term healing, this conversation brings an important topic to the forefront.

If you or someone you love is navigating recovery, understanding the connection between sleep and wellness could make all the difference.

Addiction rarely travels alone.

Behind so many struggles with substance use, there is anxiety that was never treated, depression that was never named, or trauma that was never processed.

Dr. Olla and talk about exactly that, the deep connection between mental health and addiction, and why addressing one without the other so often leaves people stuck.

At Valley Spring Recovery Center, we believe real recovery means looking at the whole person, not just the substance. When we start asking what someone is carrying beneath the surface, that is when healing can actually begin.

The classroom starts with the nurse's office.

Last week, James Sands and Brian Cellary represented Valley Spring Recovery Center at the 2026 NJSSNA Spring Conference in East Brunswick, NJ, joining school nurses from across the state for two days of learning, connection, and advocacy centered around student success.

School nurses are often the first point of contact when a student is struggling, whether physically, emotionally, or behaviorally. Events like this remind us how critical it is to bridge the gap between school-based care and behavioral health resources in our communities.

We are proud to stand alongside the professionals who show up for students every single day. Thank you to the New Jersey State School Nurses Association for having us.

Healing is more powerful when families heal together.

In our Together We Heal Family Program, Patricia Osterhoudt walks alongside families navigating the recovery journey. Offering guidance, support, and a safe space to reconnect, rebuild, and heal as one.

Because recovery isn’t just an individual journey. It’s a family one.

Watching someone you love struggle with thoughts of su***de is one of the heaviest things a family can carry. You deserve guidance too.

In this week’s conversation, Valley Spring CEO and Dr. Olla sit down to speak directly to the families who are scared, exhausted, and unsure of what to do next.

If you or someone you love is in crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

When treatment centers show up for each other, the whole community wins.

This month’s Open House Tour brought together some of the most dedicated people in behavioral health and addiction recovery.

To every treatment center that walked through our doors: thank you. Your presence is a reminder that we are all working toward the same goal. The more we understand each other’s programs, approaches, and strengths, the better we can connect people to the care that’s right for them.

That’s not competition. That’s community.

We look forward to continuing to build these relationships; one open door at a time.
