We are pleased to welcome Eric Elfus, Executive Director at Corcoran House Assisted Living. Eric is a seasoned Senior Living Executive with over 30 years of experience, including 17 years as an Executive Director and 13 years as owner of a senior placement business. He has led Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Independent Living communities with a strong track record of increasing occupancy, driving revenue growth, and building high-performing teams. His expertise includes sales strategy, operations, and turnaround leadership.

A Florida native now residing in Massachusetts, Eric holds a Master’s in Health Care Administration and is passionate about enriching residents’ lives. He is excited to lead the Corcoran House team.

Outside of work, Eric is the father of 3 beautiful daughters and has 2 sweet dogs. In his free time, he loves traveling, golfing, biking, and white water rafting in the mountains.

We are pleased to introduce Courtney A. Fisher, Executive Director at The Highlands on the East Side. Courtney is an accomplished and detail-oriented Executive Director with more than 25 years of progressive leadership experience in senior living management. She has a proven track record of driving operational excellence, maximizing occupancy, and leading high-performing teams. Throughout her career, Courtney has demonstrated deep expertise in state care regulations, staff development, fiscal oversight, and community relations.

Courtney is a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and a licensed Assisted Living Residence Administrator. Her passion for senior care began during her college years, where she minored in Gerontology, laying the foundation for a lifelong commitment to serving older adults with integrity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to quality care, dignity, and meaningful connection.

We are pleased to introduce Abygail Frankel, Executive Director at our Susan Bailis community. Abygail brings over a decade of leadership experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, and senior services to the team. She studied Gerontology and Long-Term Care Administration, grounding her career in both the science and soul of senior care.

Abygail’s passion for older adults is not something she fell into, it is who she is. She is deeply driven by the belief that elders deserve to be honored with respect, dignity, joy, and purpose, and she brings that conviction into every aspect of her leadership. Known for her magnetic energy, relationship-driven style, and strong business instincts, she leads with equal parts heart and strategy – building culture, inspiring teams, driving occupancy, and creating communities people are proud to call home.

We are delighted to welcome Shannon Fenerjian, Divisional Director of Resident Care.

Shannon is a seasoned resident care and compliance leader with more than 15 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse and Certified Dementia Practitioner. She has a demonstrated history of elevating quality and regulatory performance across assisted living, memory care, and post-acute care settings. Throughout her career, Shannon has been recognized for fostering positive team cultures, strengthening clinical and compliance standards, and guiding multi-site senior living organizations through evolving regulatory and operational demands.

Shannon’s focus is on delivering safe, compassionate, and resident-centered care across every community she supports, and we are very pleased to have her join our team!

The HKAL team had a wonderful and meaningful experience at the Catholic Charities in Brockton yesterday. They joined dozens of other volunteers to distribute turkeys and other donated goods to local families, seeing firsthand how much these holiday resources mean to families preparing for Thanksgiving.

The atmosphere was filled with gratitude, teamwork, and a strong spirit of giving. Charlene Borthwick led the HKAL team and gave a heartfelt thank you to the large group of regional/home office and site volunteers.
