Stress and hair loss are closely linked.

Telogen effluvium is the technical term for hair loss triggered 3-6 months after physical or psychological stress.

Each stress event is a 9 month cycle of hair loss. When another stress event happens, another 9 month cycle is added.

That’s why it can feel like the shedding lasts so long.

Usually the hairs autocorrect themselves.
