✨ Introducing HeartBridge Care Services ✨
HeartBridge Care Services is proud to announce its official launch as a new Developmental Disabilities (DODD) agency serving the Greater Cincinnati area. Founded by Renika J. Smiley, a seasoned professional with a strong background in workforce development, leadership, and human services, HeartBridge Care Services was created with a mission to provide compassionate, person-centered care for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Renika’s journey into DODD began in 2021 when she started caring for a client with Level 4 Down Syndrome. This hands-on experience deepened her passion for direct care and inspired her to establish an agency that values quality, dignity, and respect for every individual served.
The vision for HeartBridge Care Services dates back to 2018, influenced by one of Renika’s closest colleagues who successfully scaled her own DODD agency to an eight-figure business. That mentor’s advice to “do it with heart, not just for profit” continues to shape the company’s mission and values today.
After being laid off in early 2025, Renika decided to activate her long-held vision, leveraging her degrees in Organizational Leadership and Human Resource Management, along with her certifications in DODD and medication administration. She partnered with Jessica Wright of Wright Workforce Solutions to build a strong foundation in staffing and workforce operations.
HeartBridge Care Services is currently awaiting state licensure and anticipates hiring in early 2026. The agency’s approach blends Renika’s proven leadership experience with a heart-led commitment to care.
