You’re eating better. You’re taking the supplements. You’re trying to get more sleep.

And yet you still wake up tired.

Most people are told high blood pressure is a heart issue.

But regulation of blood pressure is heavily controlled by the brainstem and autonomic nervous system—especially through the upper cervical spine.

The top bones in your neck (C1/C2) sit right next to the brainstem, where blood pressure, heart rate, and vascular tone are coordinated.

When there’s dysfunction or misalignment in that area, it can create abnormal input to the nervous system—keeping the body in a more sympathetic (fight-or-flight) dominant state.

That’s when you start to see things like elevated blood pressure.

Your hamstrings might not be tight. They might be compensating.

If the pelvis and lower spine aren’t moving the way they should, the muscles around them will tighten up to stabilize the area. Stretching might feel good for a minute—but it won’t fix the root issue.
