For as long as she can remember, she has had the ability to communicate with those who have crossed over. Samantha believes that death is not the end but a new beginning. From an early age, Sam, as she prefers to be called, has seen and heard the souls of the departed. In addition to being a psychic medium, a gift she kept hidden from her skeptical family, Sam is a sensitive with low vision. Sensitives, also known as empaths, have the ability to tune into emotions of people and animals. Samantha is clairvoyant, clairaudient, clairsentient, and claircognizant. A self-professed ghost magnet, Sam has had more than a few paranormal experiences, a list that still grows today. How did she learn of her unique abilities? Not only did spirits tell her she was gifted, Sam took it upon herself to conduct research about her abilities. In the beginning, she thought she was crazy but was proven otherwise when a psychic confirmed what she already knew, leading her to come out of the closet in her late teens. Samantha feels history and the paranormal go hand-in-hand as each time she visits a historic site such as the battlefield and surrounding area of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; something always seems to happen. Being a medium and descendant of the American Civil War makes Samantha's encounters with spirits all the more interesting.

Iโ€™ve been reflecting on my heritage latelyโ€”English, Irish, German, and Welshโ€”and the spiritual strength each of those lines carries. Iโ€™ve woven them together into this prayer of protection and clarity. I wanted to share it here for anyone else who needs to feel grounded and shielded today. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธโœจ

I call upon the light of my Welsh ancestors to grant me protection and, in that protection, the strength of clear sight. May my understanding be sharp, and my spirit be guided by the ancient wisdom of the land.

I call upon the 'Breastplate' of my Irish kin. May the Divine hand guard me, the Divine way lie before me, and the Divine shield shelter me from any energy that is not of the highest light.

I call upon the German strength of โ€” ๐˜๐˜ฆ๐˜ช๐˜ญ โ€” wholeness. I command my energy to be 'bone to bone and blood to blood,' knitting my spirit and body into a fortress of health and restorative peace.

I call upon the English spirit of the hearth. I am the peace of all things calm; I am the place to hide from harm. My home is a sanctuary, my boundaries are firm, and my heart is at rest.

I stand in the center of my lineage, clear and protected. And so it is.
